Got your I-194?
Reply here with how long it took. Months, weeks, days...
As mentioned in my previous message, I was approved 1st time applying for 5 year waiver. I had a record for an indictable offense which involved money fraud. I assumed I wouldn't get 5 year waiver because severity of crime but I got it. Not sure if pardon helped, or length of time when conviction happened which was 11 years ago or if none of that even mattered?
I’ve been trolling this forum for awhile now but wanted to share that I applied for first waiver June 26 th. At sumas POE. Received waiver today. Letter dated sept 18th. And it’s good for 2 years
The Fee is $465.00 USD.
Here is the info from the website.
1. The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must
be payable in U.S. currency; and
2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
NOTE: Spell out U.S. Department of Homeland Security; do not use the initials “USDHS” or “DHS.”
3. When applying with CBP, you must make your check or money order payable to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must
be payable in U.S. currency. Certain CBP-designated Ports-of-Entry and certain CBP-designated preclearance offices
may accept payment in the form of cash or credit cards.
4. If you live outside the United States, contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate for instructions on the
method of payment.
We recommend that you contact the CBP-designated Port-of-Entry or CBP preclearance office where you
intend to be processed for payment instructions. Please visit www.cbp.gov (go to the search box and type “Form
I-824,” or “I-824” or “824”).
Every time I have filed this on behalf of a client, we mailed it in. The replacement takes about 90 days. They are VERY picky about method of payment. Expect 90 days.
Sorry Jag I have not been on the forum since we have been busy on a new project. The form is an I-824 not 182. CBP does not make anything easy. If you want we can prepare it for you and will do it for free. We won't charge you a penny. In part 3 some of it you fill out and some of it you don't. It would be easier if we did it since it is a fair amount of explaining. Do you live in Surrey? If so, we can send You to one of the borders that we deal with in BC. You can give me a shout if you wish at 1 888 908-3841 or 604 332-9213.
Like I said in the Facebook Group...5 year waivers are nothing new for first-timers. However, I can understand that in your opinion that is what you have seen. It is just that we have seen this often before and even before Trump got into office. They do still give 1-year waivers on some things unfortunately for the person.
I am starting to see a swing back to 5 year waivers for first time applicants. 3 in a row last 2 weeks.
Singh5555 are you a criminal record? Overstay? For others in the same situation it might be helpful if they can math their circumstances to yours.
Hello K. Scott,
I am going to submit I-182 to get a replacement copy of my first us waiver. I had applied for my first waiver on Jan 29, 2017 and ARO sent me the decision letter on Jun 19, 2017 which I never received at my home address. I need help with some questions in the I-182 if you could please help?
Part 3.
1.a. Form number of previously approved application or petition
1.b. Receipt number
1.d. Approval date
Where to find the answers to above questions as ARO did not provide to me? The only thing they told me is I may submit I-182.
Thanks
Jag
4.5 months is pretty accurate right now, after its handed in.
Total time including fingerprints should be less than 6 months. There are exceptions.
Sexually based offences are mainly coming back rejected, and they are taking over 9 months for a reply as well.
Sarah:
If you look at my posts that are not directed at Ken, you will see they are not to "drum up business" but instead to give RECENT information.
I will point out some facts I don't see anyone else bringing up
-Pearson Intl Airport closed for Waiver until October 7 2017 and why
-The change for first time applicants from 5 years to 1 year
-Sexually based offences taking much longer and not getting granted even if they have a past waiver (some exceptions)
-Bans being upheld even after 5 years.
-waivers with exceptions taking 4.5 months
-Fingerprints taking less than 14 days if no hit, sometimes less than a week, 3 weeks if there is a hit
The offer for people who are going to use the airport that since I will be there after October 7th, I would be happy to put their name on the list for them, so they don't have to turn up at 4 am, and can arrive at 8 am instead.
Please explain where any of this is less "helpful" than anything you have posted. As a matter of fact, please point out anything you have posted that is as informative as any of the above posts I have made? I have listed 6 things that I guarantee most people did not know for sure. Why? Because as this forum shows, you only know what YOU have gone through. And for most, every 5 years. I post my cell # for follow up questions, and some people obviously wish to keep their questions private. Ken and I are promoting completely different products. I do waivers for a reasonable price for people who want to use a service. Ken does something else.
Ken, good luck on your teaching career. Feel free to refer your clients to me, since obviously you won't have much time going forward.
Sarah Cailles...I agree with you although my organisation is not hurting as such. I still stand by what I said that I only offer free advice only. Read my lips...I WILL NOT CHARGE A PENNY to anyone that calls me from this forum. I have collected less than 1 cent from this forum and intend to keep it as such. I have had people refer me to their friends which is fine...but I will not charge you personally a penny. I will only give free information that you can use so you won't have to hire a waiver company. I actually do this for a very selfish reason. I am getting back into teaching so I need to hone my teaching skills and this forum allows me to practice.
Trust me when I tell you that absolutely no one here will pay $1500-$10,000 for a waiver. We are very high because of a few reasons. John is much cheaper so you can call him if you want a much cheaper price.

This is a forum for help, not to solicit business, both you guys must be real hurting advertising here.
And everyone knows you can create multiple names on this forum, so stop kidding one another and everyone else with your bogus bullshit, about Surrey and gangsters and Ontario and doing waivers every freaking day, no one is buying it.
I dare you guys to be better and create your own forums instead of being on here, you probably wont cause your both lazy imo and probably don't know how to create a forum otherwise you wouldn't need to drum up business.
AND NO I WONT CALL YOU IF YOUR WEBSITES SUCK!
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this used to be a good discussion forum for those of us going through this process. Many of us are using good services from companies, myself included, but getting tired of this becoming a 'drum up business' forum.
Random people (most likely them) supporting them, what a scam
Like the one saying call my cell, meet me at post# whatever at the airport. Yeah right, I'm gonna give my hard earned dollars to some stranger from a forum.
If we want the services of a company to help us, your all over the place, we can find you. If we need a good actual immigration lawyer, we can find these too.
Enough already .......
