How to check waiver application status?

pascalposted 9 years ago

Hey - anyone know where to check on my application? I submitted it over 2 months ago. Thanks in advance!

Replies (recent first):

Keep emailing them. Once a month is fine. It is the ONLY real avenue. In an emergency I have people I can call, but as long as they are emailing you back, a decision has simply not been reached. It will come.

I applied for the Waiver in November 2016 and haven't hear anything yet. Anybody knows anything?

Esta replied 6 years ago   #23

Does anyone know, How often you can email them? And does it really effect processing times?

As I read through this thread, I am utterly shocked at the degree of personal information that folks are posting...

Do you not understand that this is a public forum. For discussion only.
You are not contacting the ARO through this site.
Posting your file number and your contact details is a ridiculous thing to do here!

@LindaHawley... the very reply (# 1) of this thread tells exactly how to get in touch with them.

I applied on n0v 28 2016 for a renewable waiver

lindhawley@msn.co m replied 7 years ago   #19

@linda Hawley waivers take 4 to 8 months NOT weeks. What date did you apply? So far the most recent waivers that have been approved are from early November.

Does anyone know how to obtain a new waiver ,it is in effect for two more years but got damaged

People, there is a reason why"" Identity Fraud"" is prevalent ...please use your common sense when putting your file numbers in a public forum with your @ email.

If you have such a worry, you should have hired a professional lawyer in the first place...just to save a few bucks is really asking for trouble putting your info out there.

Heaven forbid someone uses your name and "A" number to get into the US without your knowledge... you are truly fucked!

Yup this is all correct. We actually have a copy of the CBP memo that CBP uses to determine whether to grant or deny a parole.

scottyb replied 7 years ago   #11

@Stressed

Parole is a legal fiction that allows for the physical entry of an individual into the United States without actually "admitting" him or her into the country. Parole is commonly used to allow otherwise inadmissible individuals to enter the country for specific reasons, for a limited period of time and usually involves a degree of urgency.

An individual may be paroled into the country at the discretion of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), whether it be by U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) or by U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS). Generally, successful cases for parole involved strong humanitarian reasons or reasons of significant public benefit.

While each parole application is judged on a case by case basis, parole requests that do not rely upon a strong humanitarian need or a public benefit will almost certainly be denied. DHS scrutinizes applications for parole carefully because the agency does not want the process to be used to circumvent other immigration laws used to keep certain individuals out of the country.

Therefore, foreign nationals who are seeking to be paroled into the U.S. should submit a comprehensive packet to the appropriate agency (whether it be CBP or USCIS) regarding the reasons for their inadmissibility and describe their urgent need to enter the U.S., together with supporting documentation.

Urgent Need to Enter While Waiver is Pending

The processing time for certain waivers ranges from six to eight months. In some situations, a foreign national may have an urgent family or business need that requires them to enter the U.S. while his or her waiver is pending. Paroles provides a cure for this situation by allowing the foreign national into the U.S. to tend to that urgent need. However, parole would not be applicable in those situations where the foreign national has a need to continue and/or begin their employment with a U.S. employer.

Is there any chance of crossing to the US while the waiver is being processed?

Stressed replied 7 years ago   #9

Muhammad why in the world would you post your file number on a public Forum?
Do you not realize that number is unique to you and you Only?
In the wrong hands someone could use that number and cause havoc for You!!

Also it is clearly stated all over this forum and USA government entry site that you shouldn't ask for a update until 150 days has passed.
