RCMP criminal records check result

What does the RCMP criminal records check result look like?

I am sure that it contains the charges and the sentences, but how detailed is it?

Replies (recent first):

Hello everyone , say i try to cross the border and they do not see my criminal record but ask me have u ever been arrested and i say yes . Will they deny me entry without a waiver even tho they do not see my criminal record ? I have a record for fraud but its not showing up in the rcmp database just yet .

Causing a disturbance and possession of narcotic over thirty years ago

If you qualify and don't take the chance, you will regret it since you will have to get waivers for the rest of your life then.

Well before you file for your waiver, lets see if you qualify for a permanent clearance. What was your conviction for? I can tell you if you qualify based upon the conviction.

Yes first time

@Ruby Good that you received your prints. I am still waiting for mine, and was this your first time to ask for prints from RCMP? It is four months for me.

@Vancity Girl Have you submitted your fingerprints before? or is this your first time?

Jackie replied 7 years ago   #12

I did my fingerprints in Dec /15 and still haven't recieved anything back from Ottawa.

Vancity Girl replied 7 years ago   #11

@Tim Do you mind me asking when you did your fingerprints and when you got the result back?

Mark replied 7 years ago   #10

It took me four months to get mine this time....

Tim replied 7 years ago   #9

This sounds about right...Our clients are averaging 4-6 months just to get prints back from RCMP.

@don I have a friend who works for cpic and he says there's a massive pileup of paperwork that they are taking there jolly time processing... looks like people are waiting 6months + which is bad.

Bo replied 7 years ago   #7

@Bo I am waiting for my prints as well, and what are the rumours about??

DON replied 7 years ago   #6

@Ruby ... It's 4 months for me already. I have heard rumours of a backlog back in Ottawa, but then again it's just rumours.... but damn 6 months is a long time.

Is anyone else experiencing long wait times to get their prints back from the RCMP? This week it will be six months!

Ruby replied 7 years ago   #4

They likely can see the arrest still. If you say that you have never been arrested and find it, they can charge you under a 6c violation for misrepresentation. I suggest that you call us before you go or even send CBP anything. You may not even need a waiver.

It's weird i sent my finger prints to the rcmp for a criminal record check and they said i'm not in the database .

They said i need to get the local court to send it to them so i can be in the cpic . Does this mean the US border will not see anything on me and i could pass just by saying i never been arrested ?

@nomnom

What was your charges?

There isn't a detailed description, mostly just a summary of your indictable offense.
