Waiver 4 Prostitution

Chynaaposted 7 years ago

Hi guys, now this is a very sensitive topic but all these threads are anonymous. Has anyone received a waiver for prostitution , how long did you wait? And what are your thoughts in terms of success rates for this particular situation?

Prostitution is legal in Canada but not in America . I have no criminal convictions/charges any where in the world. I have never even been charged for prostitution but apparently having a sugar daddy/arrangement falls under the umbrella of prostitution. Please share your thoughts

Ok I didn't know that . I was born in Iran left when I was 2 years old . I'm a Canadian citizen .

sarahtoronto....I assume you mean september 29 2016 right?

Being from Iran is OBVIOUSLY a factor. You will get an answer though.

Hi so I applied in September 29 th and I e mail them once every month still the same standard answer . Am I ever going to be able to go back to the states . This is ruining my life . All my family is there and I just really miss them :(
I don't have any criminal record .
Are they really busy ?
I'm also Iranian does that make a difference because I know trump is against Iran .

There is no way it could delay the processing. They aren't "pulling the file". They are simply looking on the computer.

Once a month AFTER 150 days.

JOHN ROGERS replied 6 years ago   #36

@JOHN ROGERS

Is e-mailing them once a month OK? I've seen that it may delay the processing.

Lashes replied 6 years ago   #35

But you are emailing them, right Lashes?

The criminal record doesn't affect the timeline. A person with misrepresentation or overstaying or an immigration offence can have just as long a timeline.

One thing that everyone has to remember is "paperwork is paperwork".

That means your file could be sitting in a pile a meter thick and the person working through it can simply be inefficient, slow, or even on sick leave. I hear "mine is easy, it should be done quick" but they don't sort files according to "quick" or slow.

Keep emailing them, at least once a month. The answer WILL come.

Been waiting since Jan 2017, silence. No criminal record.

Lashes replied 6 years ago   #33

Keep emailing once a month.

JOHN ROGERS replied 6 years ago   #32

Hi Sara, Ive been waiting since July 19 ,2016 for an answer , still nothing , I emailed them for updates and still get the standard reply

John Rogers I would even go far as say maybe you have higher volume...however we charge much more per case so we don't need the volume and we have very low advertising costs. You are right when you say we have higher prices...we actually do and they range from $1500 to $10,000. We're not interested in clients that pay $600 or less for a waiver. Besides...I never said that we did fingerprints..We have someone else do them for us so we don't need the accreditation. On a personal note, I do not understand why you feel that you have to compete with me. I am not competing with you and we market to a certain type of clientele. You do not have to worry yet since we don't have any locations in Ontario...Yet

Btw...Vancouver BC has a lot of "escorts" who have nothing to do with the other criminal offences that you mentioned. So you are wrong again.

You probably know more about fingerprints but we know more about resolving border crossing issues to include things more than just waivers. We also provide free information so that we can teach people how to prepare their own waiver cases. In this way, they eventually won't need you or even me..lol

They are raised in the bible belt USA states so they often base their decisions on their personal religious beliefs

Is absolutely ridiculous. Most of the employees that work in Herndon Va are FROM Virginia, not in the bible belt.

K. Scott, its clear if you did as many waivers as I did, at the prices you charge, you would probably make millions. So its fair to say I process many more than you.

Prostitution is something I would more commonly see here in the Greater Toronto Area, especially since for many years many of my clients came form Toronto, Durham and Peel social services. So I have a higher than usual ratio of women to men.

Prostitution is rarely a stand alone offence. Theft, assault and drug related offences usually accompany those offences, but the penalties for prostitution are also minor. If it has been 5 years since a prostitution charge, its a very easy waiver approval.

And don't assume the package you put together is somehow superior to mine or anyone else's . I do know your prices are far more expensive that the industry standard. I have not seen you say a single thing that indicates you add anything to the process to justify such a fee. You aren't even accredited to do fingerprints, so your advice on fingerprint times is not accurate, because your only getting YOUR clients fingerprints back. We do fingerprints for pardons, waivers, citizenship. contract security, adoption, etc. so I KNOW EXACTLY how long they are taking.

No John Rogers they are really hard on prostitution. It goes down to the mentality of CBP officers. They are raised in the bible belt USA states so they often base their decisions on their personal religious beliefs. Believe me I am no fan or Trump nor Kelly. I am a Socialist. Essentially, it is true that you have to wait until they email you back. Again, they are hard on Prostitution...even though in my opinion it is no one's business what a willing adult is doing in this sense. They need to keep religion out of politics and the law.

K SCOTT replied 6 years ago   #27

The email is the best route. Prostitution isn't the problem, its the length of time since the last conviction.

If they email back and say they are working on it, you just have to wait. The email is really to make sure it wasn't simply lost in the mail.

JOHN ROGERS replied 6 years ago   #26

Have you emailed them? Sometimes if you call the border you will get a nice person who is willing to look on their comp for you. Another girl on here did and they looked sadly she was denied.

No one is lying to anyone here and we don't lie to people anyway. We always give free information on the site and are not here to make money. I am just saying that there are little things in these cases that the average person not in the business will not know...and the smaller things can bite you. You can call us and we will give you free assistance if you like. There is no pressure whatsoever.n example is that if you have 2 convictions for petty theft from 1984 then you can probably do it yourself since it is simple. However, if you have 2011 convictions for trafficking, Fraud or Assaulting Police...then it would be wise to ask a "knowledgeable" professional. Anyway, this is just an example. Also, some cases should be done by a "knowledgeable professional. 604 332-9213 Ken

P.S. I have no issue provide free info whether you call or here on the forum.

K SCOTT replied 6 years ago   #23

Well said @hollymorin although I'm sure most of us don't mind the legal experts providing 'free' advice here. Call one if you want but remember that these waivers can be filled out by any non-legal expert. Follow these steps: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/760/kw/waiver

Source: I've done it, you can do it.

notalawyer replied 6 years ago   #22

Omg lawyers go away! This is a forum for people to help people for free. If we all wanted a lawyer to lie to us we would call one.

hollymorin@hotmail.c replied 6 years ago   #21

John Rogers, I will admit that we have a case pending for Sexual Assault with a weapon. I will let you know if the client gets denied or not. People can call me directly at 604 332-9213 or 1 888 908-3841. Ken
