Got your I-194?

Reply here with how long it took. Months, weeks, days...

Replies (recent first):

John,

My latest email to get an answer on the decision letter was not replied. They said they mailed it but I did not get it.
I don’t know how to get info or how to apply for a replacement.

Question is what do I do now?

Dustin replied 4 years ago   #1682

@Adelaide in the next two weeks I will stop using the old form entirely. I don't think Homeland Security is trying to hinder anyone, they are just looking for more information to vet people and I am guessing since they use the G325-A for a lot of applications, they just want more specific information for the I-192.

Don't be concerned. Same waiver, just a different form.

@HurricaneDave that is strange. Send me an email and ill send you the template I use. Start it from scratch, don't cut and paste. Also lets verify the email you are using was the one on the forms you submitted and that you are submitting it to the right email address.

pardon.experts@rogers.com Just remind me HurricaneDave when you email me.

@Dustin sorry, what direct action do you mean? Is it similar to HurricanDave?

@John Rogers

Thanks for the reply.

If I send you my documents and wish for you to do my waiver for me will you be using the new form or the old form? I'm hoping to be starting the process within the next 5-6 weeks.

Does the new form just ask for more biographic information which could possibly trip certain people up? I'm guessing your professional "eye" would come in handy in discerning what form would best suit a waiver applicant BEFORE there is no choice and one just has to use the new form post June, 28/2019 regardless.

And do you anticipate that CBP won't accept the old form even if it is presented to them before June 28th?

Using your expertise do you see a vast difference in how the old form could be better for some applicants since it's not asking for more information on them? (I'm surmising that's the crux of this new form)

In all honesty I haven't read the new form but just from perusing the forum here I understand it seems to ask for more extensive information (which could be a negative for some people I'm sure).

John
I’m over 11 months now since my application. No answer to my email inquiry either. Is there anything that you could do to help? It would be helpful to at least get an answer to my inquiry
Dave

Thanks.

Does anyone know how I would go about this. I cannot get a straight answer or specific actions to take from anyone.

Dustin replied 4 years ago   #1678

Time update everyone.

Most of the waivers are now coming in at 40-80 days. Its very fast for those who are NOT in secondary security. 40 days was a female re-applicant, and 61 days yesterday was a first time applicant. Both came in this week.

John Rogers replied 4 years ago   #1677

@Adelaide no I think you are safe using the old one until June 28. In truth, if you are just filling out your OWN I-192 vs me filling out multiple ones, then I don't think it will be much of an issue for you. Its not "difficult" to fill out, just more time consuming.

@John Rogers

So the new form is required no matter the offence?

And I noticed the new form isn't needed until late June/2019 (June 28th I believe) is that correct?

Technically one can use the old form up until that date I'm going to surmise. Do you anticipate any issues using the old form until then?

Thanks for your input.

Adelaide replied 4 years ago   #1675

@Dustin if it was regular mail it was probably an approval. The key now is to find out if a waiver was granted and for how long to see whether you should pay for a replacement certificate. If it was a denial it was probably sent registered mail.

@John Rogers, oh my, the new form is terrible!!!!..took me almost 1/2 hour to complete..and yes, the "bugs" do not help. I feel sorry for anyone without experience tackling this form. (mind you might be easier as they are not programmed like me from the previous forms)...

Michelle replied 4 years ago   #1673

Has anyone dealt with this situation and know what I should do?

Thanks

Dustin replied 4 years ago   #1672

I applied for a waiver and followed up using the email for an update. I was told that they mailed out a decision letter many months prior but I never received it. I asked them to resend and they said they would. However I have yet to receive the letter. Waiting over 6 months. Does anyone know what I should do now?

When I email them explaining this I no longer get a reply.

Dustin replied 4 years ago   #1671

Must have been made by a socialist! Longer form means putting more people to work!

jazzsax1 replied 4 years ago   #1670

@Adelaide the new form is 11 pages, the old one was 8. Mainly they have started asking the same information that is already contained in the G325-A and it is taking some getting used to, in terms of doubling the time it takes to fill one out typically.

For a person doing it on their own, mainly an inconvenience. For me and Michelle, it absolutely at least doubles the time to fill out forms.

Not to mention some bugs within the fillible form, and its frustrating.

@John Rogers

How is the new form different (specifically) from the old form? Are they asking for more extensive information about the applicant?

And is this new form needed just for applying for a waiver for a simple overstay?

Adelaide replied 4 years ago   #1668

@Michelle new form.

Where is says "5 years of addresses" when you put in Canada it seems to screw up the form. If that is the case leave Canada blank and the rest seems to work.

John Rogers replied 4 years ago   #1667

Hi John, I have not tried new form yet, but will work on it today...I had trouble with the last update, I had to use an older version of google to even get it to open...so not surprised there are problems with this form. I think they have some security features on these..as when I try to open them, my computer always says verifying secure location? I will keep you posted.

#1691 ron.hill..please see my post #1687...link is there...Thanks!

Michelle replied 4 years ago   #1666

Can you add a link to the new forms?

ron.hill@sbdinc.com replied 4 years ago   #1665

@Michelle tried to use the form for the first time today. I download a copy and fill in MY information, and then save that version. So I tried filling out the rest of it, and found the address doesn't seem to properly save.

When you try filling one out, let me know your impressions. It kept asking me for a zip code, even though I was using a Canadian address, and when I finally just put in 00000 to shut it up but then it said "USA".

Frustrating. Anyone else try to use the new I-192? Thoughts? Its now 11 pages.

John Rogers replied 4 years ago   #1664

Hi John, I was thinking the same thing, I will continue to do the G-325 until further notice..and yes, more work for us...Thanks!
